ECO Port DOUBLE SOLAR CARPORT KIT 7.4 kw

The ECO port double solar carport kit 7.4kw is the 2nd generation of residential solar carports with over 70% more output and considerably less expensive!

Handyman improvements like wood-slat side panels can still add points of sophistication to the look of your solar carport and offer more protection from sun, rain and wind. There are easy add-on options for someone with basic DIY skills.

The solar installation rebate

The solar installation rebate is available on these solar carport kits. The rebate fluctuates according to the current price of a Small-scale Technology Certificate. As of early 2019, this price was around $600 per kw. This means on a double carport kit with a 7.4kw, the expected rebate should be around $4450  (Estimate Feb 2019)

How to Purchase

1. Do your own due diligence. Check the allocated size of land that where you want to erect the carport, (7.9m x 5.4m) check you have an adequate area for its installation, ensure there is no shadowing by any structures of trees or high buildings that will obstruct direct sunlight on the panels. Your order is undertaken on the understanding that you have done your due diligence and that the structure will fit the area. Returns caused by ‘change of mind’ can not be accepted on a solar carport kit. Some helpful information here.
2. Contact us at info@carcoversandshelters.com.au or phone 0425 230 866 and arrange for a written quote and installation quote.
3. You will be contacted by a local authorised installer. The installation price quoted below is a conservative guide only – it may be less or more.
4. Once you accept the installation quote, pay 50% and your solar carport will be constructed – you will be given assistance to make any necessary applications to your local council.
5. In a maximum of 8 weeks, we will be in touch to inform you that your solar carport is now ready for shipment
6. Pay the balance owing plus freight cost by direct deposit. It is too large a transaction for Paypal to handle and payment delays may occur.
7. Your carport will be delivered and we will inform your installer it is on the way. You can then arrange a convenient day for installation.

NOTE – While we will assist you as much as possible in this process  installation costs are between you and your local installer. They will organise your STC rebate and payment for installation will go directly to your local installation company. Car Covers and Shelter and Solarcarportsonline are responsible for your kit purchase and delivery only.

Easy Purchase option

A cost-effective way to purchase and install your new solar carport is by re-drawing on your current mortgage. Typically, a $15,000 re-draw @ 4.8% will only add around $13.85 per week in interest to your weekly outgoings. A 7.4Kw solar carport should generate around 27.3kw per day. You are currently paying around 30c or more per kw in most of Australia, so generating 30c x 27.3= $8.19 per day which is $57.33 per week in your pocket if you are using all the power generated. The feed-in tariff would be less than 30c, normally between 10c-15c per kw.   NOTE: ( In Adelaide, which is similar to Sydney, each 1kw should produce around 4kw of power on average each day)
